12 month FTC – Part -Time

Our client is a market leading construction and engineering company with global operations. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the legal team in Sydney on a 12 month FTC, Reporting to the Legal Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal input on projects, a variety of contracts and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and negotiating contracts and working across a variety of projects
Reviewing tender documentation
Providing advice on dispute resolution and construction litigation matters
Liaising and managing external law firms

Key Requirements:
Ideally with 8-12 years PQE, you will have experience in the construction and engineering industry, either in house or from a Projects or Construction practice in a top tier or mid tier firm.

Experience reviewing and negotiating construction and infrastructure contracts
Exposure back end construction matters is desirable
Superior negotiation and communication skills
Posses the ability to work well autonomously or as part of a team as required
