About the Client 
 
This is a globally recognised top 20, mid-tier, accounting firm with multiple offices throughout Australia. They are currently recruiting for an experienced senior accountant or assistant manager to work remotely for one of their major Australian offices. 

The firm firm already has a number of employees working remotely from within Australia so are experienced in on-boarding, training and providing ongoing assistance to team members who are not office based. They are also committed to ensuring all staff, regardless of location, are able to experience the inclusive and supportive culture of the firm and receive ongoing recognition and career opportunities. You will always feel like you are part of the team and benefit from continual and open communication. Whilst you are not expected to visit the office locations, you will always be welcome.
 

About the Role 
 
This role is perfect for a senior who has a dedicated work ethic and can take responsibility for their time-management and workflow. You will be working 100% remotely, and be guided by your manager and partners to assist on a diverse portfolio of clients and manage up to three staff.
 
In addition, you will: 
  • Prepare complex tax compliance and review less complex compliance work
  • Tax planning work, as well as indirect tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a
  • Assist with business Advisory work such as cashflow forecasting etc
  • Maintain relationships with clients including medium and large businesses, listed clients, very HNWIs and large family groups from a variety of industries – from manufacturing, retail, & tech, to agriculture and primary production 
  • Continual advisory for clients alongside a partner online 
  • Provide guidance to juniors and intermediates  
 
Skills & Experience 
  • CA/CPA qualification or near completion 
  • Minimum 4 years public practice experience
  • Ability to work independently without supervision 
  • Technologically adept and confidence in working with clients virtually
  • Experience delegating and reviewing work to at least two accountants 
  • Australian/NZ permanent residency essential
