Client Details

The business is an Australian Owned success story manufacturing and fabricating a range of steel automotive products. With 60 on site the business supples its products for hire via the largest hire businesses in Australia. The business is looking for a value add Supply Chain (and purchasing) Manager to take their operation to the next level.

Description

Reporting into the General Manager you will lead and manage the procurement officer on site; developing formal supplier engagement and purchasing structures to maximize efficiencies in productivity levels while maintaining product integrity and quality. Managing the Supply chain and procurement your remit will cover:
 
Supply Chain & Procurement;
-Hands on supply chain/procurement management of procure-to-pay process, including negotiation, purchasing, receiving and approving bills of goods and services.
-Ensure supply (OTIF and within quality requirements) of raw materials, goods, and services for production; managing RFQs and overseeing forward orders & competitive bidding cycles.
-Negotiate contracts with vendors & suppliers to secure the best deals and payment terms based on TCO approach (Total Cost of Ownership).

Inventory, Supply Chain, Logistics & Warehouse;
-Monitor inventory levels using ERP NetSuite to track movements and manage purchasing to prevent stockouts.
-Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and part creation in the ERP system
-Conduct regular audits of stock, and aged inventory, Communicating with sales & engineering team regarding WO/BOM’s updates or inventory updates/changes
-Negotiate rates and manage logistics providers

Profile

You are a proven Supply Chain & Procurement Manager with experience in a hands on role within metals, manufacturing, automotive or assembly (or similar). You will be able to evidence having procured a range of items for manufacturing both domestically and from overseas sources as well as having identified supplier agreements, performance metrics and established terms. You have strong ERP experience and experience gained working within both smaller and larger businesses.
