Director of Care – Aged Care Facility
Lead with Compassion & Excellence in Aged Care
Are you an experienced aged care professional looking to take the next step in your leadership career? We are seeking a Director of Care to join the management team at a modern, 132-bed aged care facility that has been operating for the past two years.
About the Role As Director of Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care. Working closely with the Facility Manager and leadership team, you will provide guidance to the care team, oversee compliance with aged care regulations, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
? Overseeing clinical care operations and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies
? Providing leadership and support to nursing and care staff, fostering a culture of excellence
? Coordinating care with residents, families, and healthcare providers
? Managing infection control, OH&S, and accreditation processes
? Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of staff
? Driving continuous improvement and best practices in aged care
About You We are looking for a compassionate and results-driven leader who is committed to delivering exceptional care. You will bring:
? Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
? 5+ years of post-graduate nursing experience (Aged Care experience preferred)
? 3+ years in a leadership role (Care Manager/Clinical Care Coordinator)
? Strong knowledge of aged care accreditation standards, ACFI, and compliance
? Experience in commissioning new aged care facilities (desirable)
? Excellent leadership, staff management, and IT skills
? A commitment to continuous improvement and outstanding customer service
