Description
As the Policy and Executive Support Officer you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Policy Executive through providing a high level of executive assistant support.
Executive assistance
- Diary management, visitor support, travel/accommodation arrangements, database, file and record management, leading the coordination of communication streams such as correspondence and telephone calls.
- Developing and maintaining, good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide budget support, including processing paperwork, maintaining and acquiring office supplies, and reconciling accounts.
- Leading the coordination of key internal meetings including arranging venue, catering, scheduling, document preparation/editing and other support needs as required.
- Work collegiately with teams to coordinate the effective flow of information to and from the Senior Policy Executive to the Chief Executive and cohort.
- Research and monitor United Nations developments, relevant sessional meetings and calls for input which are relevant to the Policy Division.
- Identify and share opportunities for the Policy Division’s engagement with the United Nations activities. Where directed support for and coordination of the Commission’s engagement with these activities.
- Support to the Senior Policy Executive for the preparation of the Commission’s shadow reports to relevant bodies.
Profile
To be successful in this application, you will have exceptional executive assistance support gained within a government or regulatory body.
- Sound understanding of political process and contemporary discrimination issues.
- Strong knowledge of diary management systems such as Microsoft Teams and other software programs such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Demonstrated experience in providing effective executive/administrative support.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working flexibly and autonomously in a a small team environment
- Strong ability to organise, plan and priorities in a demanding and dynamic environment
