Description 

The Head of Operations will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimising the day-to-day operations. This ANZ Leadership position requires a strategic thinker with an in-depth understanding of manufacturing (assembly), supply chain management (including warehousing, third party transport and network optimization), regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency ideally within the medical devices industry. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence; ensuring the highest standards of product quality, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve organisational goals and ensure sustainable growth. The Head of Operations will be hands on in approach and responsible for managing 3 management reports across Australia and New Zealand.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing (assembly), supply chain, and distribution to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee process optimisation and supplier relationships for cost-effective, timely production (establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure a reliable, high-quality supply chain)
  • Manage budgets, control expenditures, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Ensure compliance regulations and manage the quality management system (QMS).
  • Implement Lean/Six Sigma practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets and report on key performance indicators (KPI’s).
  • Provide executive leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation.
  • Work with R&D, sales, and other departments to align operational goals with company strategies

Profile
  • Proven operations management experience, with at least 5 years in a hands on senior leadership role focused on supply chain within medical devices or manufacturing/ assembly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, or related field ideally complemented by a Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP) or process improvement frameworks (Six Sigma/ Lean)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing (assembly), supply chain, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in developing and managing operational budgets and performance metrics.
  • Analytical thinker with a strategic mindset.
  • Adaptable leader who thrives in dynamic environments
  • Experience with Netstock and Hubspot would be highly advantageous
