Job description
• $25m revenue business, established reputation, aggressive growth plans
• Manage transport and warehouse for the business (a mix of in house and 3PL)
• Report directly to an impressive Head of Operations, focus on optimisation
Client Details
The business has an established reputation in its space manufacturing and delivering superior decorative products into homebuilders in Australia. With a range of 1000 high end products both manufactured in house and imported from Asia, the business is focused on design excellence and creating spectacular interiors.
Description
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations you will be based at the HQ close to Camden and will be responsible for the in house warehousing, inventory and transport operations as well as managing the various 3PL providers needed on a daily basis. Your focus will be on optimisation and best practice, specifically you will be responsible for:
-All supply chain and logistics processes from inbound goods to customer delivery. This will consist of an initial 10 reports across the warehouse and (in house) drivers along with the external contract management of 3PL providers.
-Process improvement across all logistics functions with a focus on customer satisfaction, efficiency and cost reduction
-Lead proper utilisation of the ERP system for the logistic functions with a particular focus on the Warehouse Management System
-Adherence to all legislation requirements around Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS
Profile
You are a proven Logistics/ Distribution/ Transport & Warehouse Manager with your experience being gained both managing small in house operations and managing sub contracted (3PL) providers. You are used to short lead times and have been exposed to best class systems and processes, root optimisation and have a strong understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility. Ideally you will have experience gained within building products/ materials and a Tertiary qualification.
