A leading, growing global company is seeking an employment senior legal counsel. The role will report into the General Counsel - Legal and Risk and involve working closely with senior management across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice on a range of employment and workplace matters
- Assisting in developing policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements
- Monitoring and identifying emerging employment and work place issues and developments from a legal or regulatory perspective
- Working closely with and advising the People & Culture team with managing and resolving workplace complaints and investigations, performance management and disciplinary proceedings.
- Assisting the legal team on broader commercial contracts as required.
Key Requirements:
- Ideally a minimum of 8 + years PQE
- Previous employment law experience gained from a renowned law firm or In-House organisation
- Exposure across Asia Pacific will be view favourably but not essential
- Proven experience in advising across a broad range of employment-related areas, including; international relocations, appropriate workplace behaviour, workplace health and safety, performance management, disciplinary proceeding and workplace complaints and investigations.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to prioritise multiple matters and stakeholders
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
- A positive attitude and someone who enjoys working as part of a team as well as autonomously.
