• Senior QA Officer (Quality Manager 2IC) role reporting to the Quality Manager
• Shop floor based role, food manufacturing background essential

The business is a market leader in its sector manufacturing and delivering a range of food products to retailers. Enjoying double digit growth the business is looking to hire a new role; Senior QA Officer to support the Quality Manager across 2 sites.
Description
The role holder will report to (and deputise for) the Quality Manager. Building close relationships across departments this position has a remit covering 2 sites in Sydneys south. The roleholder will ensure continuous improvement of the Quality and Food safety programs, compliance of products with internal, customer and regulatory requirements and will lead:
Supplier assessment; Complete supplier assessment and audits, maintaining certification records and running Non conformance resolution
Material Control; review Product Information Forms, conduct risk assessments, and perform critical control point analysis,
Product & Material; Coordinate quarantine status, working across the sites to lead material expiration clearance, conduct product inspection
Systems, certification and audits; coordinate internal audits, monthly verification of Quality assurance verification activities, participate in HACCP risk assessments, manage the glass and hard materials register
QMS implementation and support; record keeping and document control, participate in internal audits, train officers in GMP and CCP.
Profile
You are a proven Quality Assurance professional with several years experience within the food manufacturing space leading and supervising small teams. You hold a depth of knowledge regarding GMP/ HACCP Internal audits along with a sound understanding of food manufacturing code. You have a passion for ensuring food products are made to the highest possible standard along with expertise in systems and procedures. Ideally you will hold a Tertiary Qualification in a food science or related subject.
