Our client is looking for a proactive Mid Level System Administrator to join their Engineering team and take on AWS challenges.
Description
- Manage, optimise, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Marketing teams to support web applications, websites, and APIs.
- Implement security policies, system administration tasks, and IT infrastructure management.
- Optimise AWS billing, system uptime, and resource usage for cost-saving strategies.
- Work on website performance monitoring, migrations, and backup integrity.
- Provide critical support to cross-functional teams, driving cloud initiatives and automation.
- Implement and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines to streamline and automate deployment processes.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance practices across all systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Take ownership of projects and deliver initiatives that enhance cloud security, performance, and scalability.
- Be a solutions-based thinker who proactively identifies and solves problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Act as a self-sufficient, independent contributor while collaborating with various teams across the organisation.
- Wear multiple hats, adapting to the evolving needs of the business and driving impactful solutions.
Profile
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure management.
- Strong expertise in AWS IAM, security configurations, and cost management.
- Proficient in Linux and Microsoft operating systems, with solid knowledge of DNS, domain management, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience in Single Sign-On (SSO) setup and administration.
- Familiar with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Proven ability to deliver projects, run initiatives, and maintain governance and security standards.
- Collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- A problem solver who can work independently but also thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to fast-changing business requirements.
