Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure and application-focused projects. You will manage cross-functional technical teams, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Manage and oversee infrastructure, cloud, and application-based projects, ensuring successful delivery across all phases.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement detailed project plans, manage deliverables, track progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate key meetings, including project board reviews, stage gate assessments, and sprint ceremonies to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking, ensuring cost control and resource efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular, data-driven reports to senior management and stakeholders to track project status, outcomes, and risks.
  • Agile Methodology: Leverage Scrum principles and agile practices to deliver high-quality, timely results, adapting to project needs and iterative feedback.
  • Fortnightly Status Updates: Provide consistent status reports to stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of project progress and challenges.
 Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant vendor certifications (such as PMP, Scrum Master, or cloud-related qualifications) will be highly regarded, especially with a focus on infrastructure and application projects within Banking and Finance.
  • Certifications in Project Management such as PMP, Prince2, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Technical Project Management: Proven experience in managing scope, resources, schedule, and expectations in a complex technology environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively to address complex issues and risks.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and maintain project alignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically across all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience in managing customer relationships and liaising effectively with external suppliers and service providers.
