Location: South East Victoria

About the Role:

Our client is going through exciting growth they are looking to expand the team. Are you a motivated business development professional with a proven track record in account management and driving growth? Join our team as a Territory Business Development Manager and take charge of a dynamic and rewarding role servicing customers across South East Victoria. 

In this key position, you will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of clients while also identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities within the market.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with food manufacturers and suppliers, build long-lasting customer relationships, and contribute directly to business growth in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the customer base and increase market share within South East Victoria.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with existing customers while actively identifying new business opportunities in the food manufacturing and industrial sectors.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with clients to understand their needs, provide solutions, and uncover opportunities for further growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery, exceptional customer satisfaction, and effective problem resolution.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine strategies and achieve targets.

Ideally Monday & Fridays in the office west of Melbournes CBD, Tuesday, Wed & Thursday on the road. There is a decent amount of travel to cover South East Victoria. 

About You

• Proven experience in sales, business development, and account management, within the food manufacturing, industrial supplies, or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry and its supply chain needs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with new and existing customers- operations managers, production managers, plant managers etc.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Australian working rights and a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory as required.
