About Company
An Australian Success Story and leader in their field, my client has a newly created financial analyst role under their CFO who is highly respected. 
We’re looking for a hands-on and detail- oriented i Finance Systems & Data Analyst to support our finance team with handling data across our accounting systems. This role is ideal for someone with several years of accounting experience who also enjoys working with data to tell a story.
Duties

• Maintain and update financial data in our accounting system and ensure accuracy across ledgers
• Assist in system reconciliations and the resolution of data discrepancies
• Support financial month-end and year-end processes with accurate data inputs and reconciliations
• Help manage and update the chart of accounts and other master data (vendors, customers, projects, etc.)
• Prepare and format reports, templates, and dashboards for internal stakeholders
• Work with the finance team to improve processes through better use of systems and automation tools
• Support data migration, testing, or validation projects during system upgrades 

Skills & experience

• 1–3 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or data-focused role
• Understanding of core accounting principles (e.g., journals, ledgers, reconciliations)
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivot tables
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems 
• Comfortable working with data — spotting errors, ensuring consistency, and improving structure
• Strong attention to detail and a curious, analytical mindset
• Currently studying towards or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
