They are currently inviting a commercially astute leader and innovator in to their organisation as the Head of Fundraising, you will collaborate closely across the broader business to initiate highly successful and engaging initiatives that will raise crucial funds to change the lives of thousands if not millions. 

Description 

  • Provide strategic leadership to the team ( 3-4 direct, 9 indirect ) to deliver and implement the organization’s revenue growth strategy, through the development of product sub-strategies.
  • Lead and foster innovation across all fundraising product/program areas drawing from external practice, developing business cases for investment to support revenue growth and income stream/product diversity.
  • Collaborate with relevant SME to ensure all fundraising products/programs and channel activity meet legislative and regulatory compliance requirements as well as brand and other guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to support the team, develop, implement and effectively monitor annual plans to maximise strategic growth, ensuring return on investment and improve net position.
  • Leverage Customer Experience insights, internal and external research, data & insights an ongoing basis to support teams analyse and maximise the effectiveness of donor & customer journey’s and loyalty.
  • Develop where required, monitor and report on monthly performance measurements/metrics, both strategic and operational, aligned to annual as well as mid/long term strategic objectives and plans.
  • Oversee and support Fundraising Program Managers with supplier negotiations, in conjunction with internal SMEs, as well as the management of contracts.
  • Develop, monitor and report on the overall Fundraising budget and plan, track monthly through metrics, lead forecasts and proactively identify/mitigate opportunities and risks as required.
  • Work with the Finance Business Partner to analyse return on investment, net position and ensure all activities are conducted within approved expenditure and all variances are accounted for.
  • Lead and coordinate individual product planning, annual revenue setting and budgeting across the team in line with business processes. 
  • Develop leaders, model constructive culture, prioritise collaborative ways of working and build a cohesive, skilled and enabled fundraising product team, focused on excellence, best practice, innovation.
  • Coach, develop, support and mentor leaders, leverage the PRD process to identify development and other opportunities to stretch and enhance their skills and experience.
  • Work closely with the Director Marketing, Communications and Partnerships to continuously enhance the value chain and maximise cross-functional opportunities with other divisions.


Profile

  • Significant experience with relationship building over transnational fundraising focusing on the customer loyalty and retention
  • Commercial skills including business case development, prioritisation and financial acumen
  • Highly developed communication, analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and support leaders and teams to achieve results and lead in ways which foster diversity as well as an inclusive, and collaborative team and achievement culture.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead continuous improvement activities and encourage team members to identify ineffective processes and contribute to new ideas and ways of working.
  • Ability to work under broad direction with a high degree of autonomy and use initiative on a regular basis to advance and execute strategy.
  • Advanced relationship management and influencing skills with ability to negotiate.
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to influence and negotiate at a senior organisational level.
  • Strong analysis, planning, budgeting and reporting skills.
  • Extensive and diverse expertise in the application of approaches in dealing with complex challenges and ability to lead and maximise a large and diverse workforce.
  • Expertise in the development and implementation of new policies, practices and procedures.
  • Highly Analytical and able to use evidence, data and future foresight to enable teams to improve, navigate complexity and uncertainty and remain relevant and impactful.
  • Manage extensive and complex programs/projects.
