In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, and maintain payroll records. You will also supervise a team, handle employee inquiries, and continuously improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency.

Payroll Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to manage the payroll process for one of our close clients. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, and maintain payroll records. You will also supervise a team, handle employee inquiries, and continuously improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Oversee the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- Compliance: Ensure all payroll practices are in line with state and local tax laws and company policies.
- Reporting: Generate and submit payroll reports, including tax filings, and assist with audits as required.
- Team Supervision: Lead and mentor the payroll team, providing training and support to ensure smooth operations.
- System Management: Maintain and update the payroll system, troubleshooting any issues that arise and suggesting improvements.
- Record Keeping: Ensure proper maintenance of employee payroll records, including pay rates, deductions, and benefits, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Employee Support: Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues employees may encounter.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows and efficiency.
- 8+ years of experience in payroll management.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
