Job description

Senior opportunity to join this well known organisation in the healthcare industry. This role will lead a small team of 4-5 with responsibility for the Procurement, Category Management and Contracts function.

The Procurement Manager role is pivotal to leverage opportunities, manage and continually improve the organisation's centre-led strategic procurement and contract management function, with the responsibility for the delivery of high quality and outcome-focused procurement and contract management services that achieve strategic goals, financial targets and compliance obligations.

Key responsibilities:

Leadership / Management of the Procurement team
Oversee and advise on high level strategic procurement in line with procurement policy
Deliver and optimise the Collaborative Procurement Program
Oversee and advise on goods and services contracting
Ensure best practice standards are maintained
Stakeholder management of key internal and external relationships
Financial reporting and analysis

Ideal background:

Strong experience of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship management.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement appropriate procurement strategies and the achievement of value for money outcomes.
Demonstrated experience of supervising and leading a high performing team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience working within a Health, Not for Profit or similar related industry would be advantageous.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply is desirable.

This role is offered as an initial contract position with the possibility of an ongoing permanent role. This position is to start ASAP.
