Job description

•      Supply Chain Role leading the function across 2 warehousing and 1 production site across Perth and Sydney (including transfer of all into one facility)

•      Experience across end to end supply chain operations including production/ materials planning with a focus on optimisation

•      Report directly to the CFO, genuine ability to move to C.O.O level in 3 years

Client Details

The business is a market leader in critical control systems.  Growing through acquisition the business further expanded its offering through buying a Perth based manufacturer this year. As a result of growth and a need to optimise supply chain operations across its facilities the business is looking for a National Supply Chain Manager.

Description 

Reporting to the CFO you will oversee and coordinate operations across Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory Forecasting & Demand Planning, Production & Warehousing for this small and growing assembly business.  In this hands on role you will:
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement; purchasing componentry and finished products to meet business needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Oversee the assembly of security and fire alarm products, ensuring quality and timeliness whilst Implementing improvements to enhance production efficiency and cost savings.
  • Manage warehousing operations in Sydney and Perth, overseeing the order fulfilment process ensuring accurate inventory and timely dispatch and DIFOT to customers
  • Develop efficient warehousing practices, including picking, packing, and shipping whilst optimising shipping and reducing transportation costs.
  • Transfer production and warehousing into the HQ facility in Sydney

Profile

You hold several years end to end supply chain management experience with particular strength around supplier development, procurement, inventory, warehousing and have some exposure to production/ assembly operations and materials planning, supply chain optimisation and ERP usage. Your technical skills are backed by a Degree in a relevant business or supply chain field, you are on an upwards curve in your supply chain career and have aspirations to become a Executive Leader in the medium term.
