Client Details
My client is a leading Financial Services organisation experiencing massive growth and expansion. They are known for their amazing culture and employee focus.
They are seeking a high calibre Financial Accountant with a Financial Services background to join their Finance team.

Description
Responsibilities include:

• Performing month-end close, journal postings, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Preparation of half-yearly and full-year financial statements in accordance with AASB
• Assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards
• Prepare APRA returns, BAS returns and income tax returns
• Process improvements & adhoc projects
• Liaise with external auditors

Profile
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant or Junior Accountant within the Financial Services industry to step up into a Financial Accountant role. The successful candidate must be:

• CA/CPA qualified 
• 2+ years Financial Accounting experience within Financial Services
• Trust Accounting experience within the non-bank lending sector will be highly regarded
• Experience performing month end close and preparing financial statements  
• Sound AASB knowledge and prior experience working with AASB standards
• Experience in a Group Accounting role will be highly desired
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Intermediate Excel skills (ability to build pivots, v-lookups and complex formulas)

Job Offer
The salary on offer is a daily rate equivalent to $80k base + super. This is a 6 month contract with possibility to extend or become permanent.
