A national for-purpose organisation, our client works endlessly to address the areas affecting mental health challenges in our community. Core to this, is addressing domestic and family violence through empowering frontline workers, through the delivery of critical programs of work, to identify and support victims in the community. 

The eLearning and Student Support coordinator is key to guiding and supporting frontline workers to successful outcomes and is supported by a wonderful team who are values aligned, passionate about the space and genuinely great people. 

Located in Sydney's CBD, our client can also offer hybrid working options. 

Description 

The role’s purpose involves assessing student submissions against nationally recognised units of competency, on behalf of our client, the Registered Training Organisation.  The role also provides individual and group facilitation and learning support for students enrolled in eLearning courses.

Within the virtual learning environment, the Assessor and Student Support role will communicate with students predominantly by email, SMS, MS Teams, Zoom or phone. The role focuses on ensuring processes, practices and learning materials are aligned with RTO compliance; it also requires management of the Moodle and JobReady sites. This role will work closely with industry subject matter experts to ensure best practice and continuous improvements.

This position involves the management of eLearning courses, providing end to end support for students completing these courses. It includes:
  • Regularly reviewing student progress and offering support as required
  • Conducting assessments completed by students and providing constructive feedback and support to students.
  • Responding to student queries related to the course and content.
  • Being proficient in the use of Moodle
  • Managing and facilitating Individual Support Sessions
  • Reviewing resources for currency, compliance, and relevance as part of a continuous improvement process and reporting these to the DV-alert Training and Delivery Manager
  • Identifying, triaging technical issues prior to collaboration and escalation to relevant staff as appropriate
  • Maintaining eLearning records

Profile

  • Tertiary qualification in allied health, community services or related discipline (essential)
  • TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential)
  • CHCDFV001 – Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence (essential)
  • Good knowledge and experience in the application of adult learning theories, Student-centred practices, and digital learning principles
  • Experience working with people affected by domestic and family violence.
  • Experience in facilitating online learning and engagement for large student cohorts, using Zoom or MS teams
  • Knowledge of the VET environment
  • Experience in the assessment of VET competency-based material
  • Experience in LMS platforms e.g. Moodle
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Practice and its application in assessing and student support
