One of our clients is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist with previous testing experience, strong system knowledge, and excellent communication skills to join the team on a 6-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience in EBAs, Awards, compliance, and legislation to take ownership of the payroll run while working collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth and accurate payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, troubleshoot, and streamline the payroll run to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Apply strong testing knowledge to ensure system integrity and payroll accuracy
- Implement necessary changes and adjustments to improve payroll efficiency
- Utilise your strong system experience to quickly learn new tools and enhance payroll processes
- Work closely with different departments to resolve any payroll-related issues and ensure seamless communication
- Apply knowledge of EBAs, Awards, and payroll legislation to address discrepancies and challenges
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and standards
- Establish the payroll process as your own and make it seamless
- Work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams for effective implementation
- Strong experience in payroll testing, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Previous hands-on experience with payroll systems and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
- Extensive knowledge of EBAs, Awards, and payroll legislation
- In-depth understanding of compliance and payroll legislation requirements
- Standalone payroll experience highly desirable
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Immediate availability and readiness to hit the ground running
