My client is seeking a high calibre External Auditor to join their Finance team in this end-to-end Finance role.
This is a broad and high profile Senior Financial Accountant role giving you the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities and projects to make a real impact on the business.
Description
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and deliver month end reporting with a focus on reconciliations and accounting standards.
- Analyse revenue and cost centres, providing insights into variances and trends.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and board packs, contributing relevant commentary on performance, trends, and budget comparisons.
- Support cash flow forecasting and treasury-related reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements, including automation of data entry and assisting in the design of internal controls to improve efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and external reporting obligations (AFSL, APRA, BAS, FBT).
- Support external audits and collaborate with auditors.
- Participate in ad hoc project tasks as required
This is an excellent opportunity for a CA / CPA Qualified Big 4 2nd Mover to broaden their exposure and work for a well known brand with excellent progression opportunities.
The successful candidate must be:
- CA / CPA qualified
- Total 5+ years experience across Big 4 External Audit and now currently in a similar Financial Accountant role within a Group Finance team
- Experience working closely with various AASB standards
- Experience with technical Accounting papers
- Strong tax background and internal controls background
- Confidence and the ability to hold your own when liaising with senior stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, hands on approach, can-do attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Advanced / Intermediate Excel skills (ability to build pivots, v-lookups and complex formulas)
